Mary Rose’s Quilts & Treasures were established in April 1998. The shop was originally located in Reading on Ash Street a small side street off of Route 28 across from McDonald’s Restaurant. The building has an old English Cottage look that says “Quilt Shop” a quaint feel to it makes it seem so perfect to spend the day sewing and socializing.
The shop name has a special meaning to the owner for it was named after her two grandmothers who always inspired her and encourage her as a girl to be creative. They are smiling on the shop daily. The shop has a wide range of fabrics and notions for all quilters alike. The shop does custom made quilts and tries to best to keep up with the latest trends and fashions coming out. The shop also has classes for everyone all levels with a “Block of the Month” and hopefully soon a “Round Robin” both items that are a lot of fun. The “Treasures” end of the store is collectibles from Lang & Wise, Xmas Ornaments, Candles, Note Cards and from Highland Graphic Design we have note pads with magnets, coaster, and trivets. A small section from “On A Whim” collectibles of pewter X-Mas Ornaments and “Toothfairy Boxes with a lot of other hidden little treasures. Come on in browse and poke around we won’t bother you unless you ask.
